Carhartt Unveils Inaugural Steel Apple Awards Celebrating Skilled Trades Educators

DEARBORN, MI — To focus on the essential function of younger expertise in expert industries, Carhartt has unveiled its inaugural Metal Apple awards, a brand new initiative to honor educators shaping the subsequent technology of expert commerce staff. The awards are an extension of Carhartt’s “For the Love of Labor” program—an ongoing initiative that helps nonprofit organizations as they educate, practice and place staff into expert trades careers.

Carhartt is dedicating its Spring 2025 For the Love of Labor grant to supporting the Nationwide Heart of Building Schooling & Analysis (NCCER), a nonprofit schooling basis and main supplier of development, coaching, evaluation, credentials, analysis and profession growth packages. The workwear model is awarding $100,000 to launch and develop accredited Profession & Technical Schooling (CTE) packages throughout the nation—introducing CTE curriculum to college students for the primary time.
