Plans advance for £500m Sutton town centre scheme

The London council has earmarked 4 key city centre websites which are ripe for redevelopment in its formidable Sutton Civic and City Centre Regeneration plan.

These embrace the St Nicholas Purchasing Centre, Sutton Civic Centre, Gibson Highway Automotive Park and vacant Secombe Theatre.

Collectively they are going to create 10 acres of alternative with capability for round 1,000 houses, 180,000 sq ft of business house in addition to a brand new Civic Hub.

St Nicholas Centre was acquired by the council in August 2021 giving it management of a key strategic asset inside the city centre.
