Kier lands £16m first ECI job with Southern Water

The £16m deal covers early-stage design and planning for nitrogen discount works at Portswood WwTW close to Southampton and the set up of UV disinfection at Thornham WwTW close to Havant.

At Portswood, Kier will develop options to satisfy a brand new nitrogen discharge restrict of 9mg/l by 2030, working inside tight website constraints by repurposing present infrastructure and increasing sludge and tertiary therapy.
