A brand new draft planning assertion outlines the council’s imaginative and prescient to remodel the land – principally in council possession –with as much as 2,000 houses and a raft of leisure, industrial, and training developments.
The stadium-led regeneration plan units out how the scheme may take as much as 20 years to ship.
The location, at present used as a matchday automobile park and park and journey, would see phased redevelopment, with potential for a number of multi-storey automobile parks to help matchday crowds.
The regeneration ties into Leeds United’s stadium enlargement plans and responds to city-wide development since earlier planning steering was adopted again in 2007.
Deputy council chief Jonathan Pryor mentioned: “Our proposals for Elland Street symbolize a once-in-a-generation alternative of nationwide significance… to ship new houses, create jobs and supply main leisure alternatives.”
